Seven Weeks in Slovenia... With My Dog, Sammy

Back home in Santa Monica, one of the questions I get asked the most is: "What do you do there for the entire summer?!" There, of course, being Ljubljana, Slovenia.

So, here's a "mini-blog" explaining what I do, told through mostly selfies. AND, I have not mastered the selfie, yet!

So, here goes!:

I go to the grocery store.

I ride the Bicikelj bikes.

I go to the pet store.

I go to the dog groomer.

I go get my haircut.

I drink wine, and lots of it. But, the portions are very small.

I take Sammy on walks, and lots of them. We even walk along train tracks.

I drink from water fountains in the middle of the city centre.

I go to the Open Kitchen on Fridays.

I sit at cafes and have cappuccinos, and lots of them.

Including my favorite coffee place, Crno Zrno....

I go swimming at the local public pool.

I visit friends where they work.

I go to the vet.

I go out into the suburbs to play in the fields.

I hike to the castle and watch movies outside in the courtyard.

This summer, I spent a lot, and I mean a lot, of time at the Kavarna Mango, a restaurant/bar which was attached to one of the buildings in the apartment complex where I was staying.

I eat gelato, and lots of it!

There's so much more that I do here in Ljubljana, but ending this mini-blog post on ice cream from Cacao is just fine.
